Answers about creating QR codes, your subscription and billing, and your account.

What's the difference between static and dynamic QR codes?

A static QR code encodes its data directly into the pattern, so it can never be changed once it's printed. A dynamic (hosted) QR code encodes a short link to a page we host for you — the code itself stays the same, but you can change where it points at any time.

Dynamic codes also let you see scan analytics. Types like URL, Wi-Fi and vCard can be static; hosted types like PDF, video, MP3, image gallery, menu and business card are always dynamic.

Why isn't my QR code redirecting when I scan it?

The most common reason is that the code isn't active yet. Dynamic QR codes stay locked until your account has an active subscription — scanning a locked code shows a short "not active yet" page instead of opening your destination.

To activate every code on your account, start your subscription:

Activate your codes

Other things to check:

  • Make sure you finished setting the destination for the code in your dashboard.
  • Give printed codes enough size and contrast — very small or low-contrast prints can be hard to scan.
  • If you just subscribed, re-scan — activation is immediate.

Can I edit a QR code after I've already printed it?

Yes — for dynamic (hosted) codes. Open the code in your dashboard and change its destination; the printed code keeps working and now points to the new content. Nothing to reprint.

Static codes can't be edited, because the data lives inside the printed pattern itself. If you need to change a static code, create a new one.

Where do I see scan history and analytics?

Every dynamic code records its scans. Open the code in your dashboard to see its scan activity.

Without an active subscription you can see the last 7 days of scan history. Subscribing unlocks your full scan history and CSV export.

How do I download my QR code, and can I add a logo?

Design your code, then download it from the create flow or from your dashboard.

Adding your own custom logo to the center of a code is a subscriber feature, along with CSV export of your scan data.
